This has been researched many times by me and I have always found this to be correct.
Note that the 69-71 440-6 Alum. and Cast Iron intakes were both used 69-71. The Cast Iron intake is much more rare than the Alum. Urbanxx

I notice no 68-69 cast iron 383 intake.....what's the difference between those and the '70 ones?

I think the difference between the intakes beside casting numbers are:

68-69 Used Carter carbs.
70-71 Used Holley carbs.

So the carb mounting hole spaceing are spaced different.


If I'm wrong on this someone correct me.

Carb spacing holes are the same, but the intake needed a little more space for the accelerator pump on the Holley.

69-71 440-6 bbl. Cast Iron 2946278- This intake actually didn't appear until 1970. The first few (number?) of 1970 440/6 packs had the 1969 aluminum Edelbrock intake like the '69's did.

So is this a Cast 340 hi-po intake I assume any idea on what it's worth canadian guys I have chance to buy it jw if what there worth
