I am going to get my interior done shortly and am leaning towards black or black with red trim panels with a red car. I would like to see some photos of what some of you have come up with, stock or not. I am going to get the front bench modified due to the floor shifted automatic. Lets see what you have.....

here ya go mine in a red car

How are you planning to modify that front bench seat?

I think there was someone either on here or another site that posted a photo of a modified bench and it looked pretty sweet.

I went from the teal/teal theme to black/grey recently...all interior trim and door panels have been completed. I have not put everything back in the car yet but here are a couple of pictures. I dyed the seats black as well to match everything, just have to paint the dash once it warms up a bit.

Not the greatest pictures but you get the idea.

Modified Bench Seat.....NICE!

You're not kidding!! Really nicely modified bench seat. If anyone knows the guy who modified this bench seat; Please let me know who it is. I've been trying to figure this out. Thanks a bunch-

That was my 62 that had the notch made into the front bench for the shifter. Basically the frame (upper and lower) and seat springs were modified to that shape. I also had to modify the frame of the rear seat to fit around the tubs in back.

That looked great and I saved the photo to give to the person who will do my interior. What color was your car????

Being that you are in Rochester, who are you having do the interior? Local?

OUTSTANDING JOB-

Do you have any pictures available of the seat w/o the covering on it? Thx.

My car is garnet red. Unfortunately I didn't have the forsight to get photos of the seat frame before the covering went back on. Actually it's not real hard to do. Once you get all the combustable material off you will see what needs to be done to the frame. Stitching the material was easy too - since I had it done :)
Only screw up I made on mine was making the notch in the front too deep. I thought it would be nice to be able to run the seat all the way forward if needed - but didn't look that my roll bar stops the forward movement on one side.

OK Thanks a bunch!! I took your bench seat photo to a local upholstery shop and low an behold the guy said he's done several of them previously and showed me some pictures. It was not a big deal he said...so I was smiling. I'm using a TCI "Outlaw" shifter with a pistol grip. The upholstery guy said he could customize the notch perfectly for this shifter. Thanks for the help!
