What do you intend to use this combo in &/or expect out of it ultimately ????................................... IMHFO take it or leave it, the camshaft {specific for using the far inferior & far less flowing use of cast iron HP exhaust manifolds vs any size/type of tube headers, even the cheap a$$ $150 off the shelf ones} the type of ignition & induction system, how well it's tuned {sized & specific for using the inferior flowing Iron manifolds} & especially the cylinder heads, especially the stock cast iron heads, they can be made to work thou {but they will especially need professional porting}, type/size/shape/bore of pistons/style rings/compression ratio & quench area, are all major factors too, if you want to get anywhere near 500hp out of "especially a Mopar Wedge engine", the heads are a weak link in flow, before you do any modifications, let alone handicapping yourself with especially using the HP robbing cast iron exhaust manifolds, not letting the engine breath, the engine needs to be tuned & set up for intended usage, it's a big air pump it needs to breath, the heads, intake, cam & exhaust are the lungs of you engine, by the way the F-A-S-T guys spend a ton of money on internals & heads, I MEAN A TON, nothing is off the shelf hardly, allot of custom pieces & they aren't budget builds, by any stretch of the imagination {except maybe the slower cars} custom camshafts, larger valves & professionally porting the heads especially, for specific use of HP Iron Manifolds, that is if you want to get the Big HP using stock iron manifolds.......... it doesn't take $20k, but it does take the proper parts combo, the proper money spent in the proper place, on the proper things & a really good set of great flowing heads, iron or not, iron exhaust or not... I would highly suggest you buy some how to books on building engine get the knowledge on what is needed to accomplish your task without wasting a bunch of money... I would also suggest contact a good head porter/engine builder familiar with Mopar Wedge engines, like LaRoy Engine in Challis, Idaho & talk to Jim LaRoy, he's a member here also, known as IQ52.... Good luck, 500HP @ the crankshaft/flywheel isn't all that big of a HP #, that it can't be achieved either...
