Hey folks,

Installing an A833 into a 69 Charger 383 auto crank with the Brewers roller bearing. Looks like I have a depth of around 1.7” or so. You guys think I still need to trim down the input shaft 5/8” or am I good?

Correcto.. U need to cut off 5/8", be sure to reshape and bevel the front of the input shaft.

Just my $0.02... :)

How long is the pilot end of the input shaft now?

I had saved this chart years ago. Looks like you need to bob the input.

If I take 5/8” off I’ll be just like everyone else… oh well, better than a Clutch explosion I guess.

Oh... I'm sorry... we're talking about a shaft on a tranny ?

I just thought some folks would flip out over the word tranny.. terminology geez! Good thing none of us guys are very serious!
