Is the Plastikote Chrysler Orange (226) the street Hemi orange?

Is this the street Hemi orange for a 1970? Or is it close enough?

Very close match to "hemi-orange". Doubt many can distinguish between the 2.

Race HEMI was 62-65 Street HEMI was 66-71

Personally,I prefer the Race Hemi color, the Street Hemi looks too much like terracotta for my liking.

I buy old/vintage pre-1973 spray paint especially rust-oleum krylon and red devil. if found, DO NOT test spray any of them. Thanks

I noticed the aray of colors TruBee, Pre 73.....that's way before they took all the good stuff out, todays paint is crap in comparison.

I was at an old school guys salvage yard this past year, and he must have had a dozen cans, yes, cans, of oil in various places, most with little to no rust, some full and unopened.

He had a mid 80's T bird and a Pinto. Nothing else was newer than 1973, most were pre-70!

Is there much of a difference between 72-EV2 Tor Red and Hemi orange?

Here is the result from a shaky phone cam, I have nothing to compare with so I can not say it is the street hemi or the race hemi that is closest in color but it looks good and it will do for me. To bad everything else looks like crap now, have to order a dress-up bolt kit and perhaps blast the intake too. Then I will put on a new aluminum waterpump and housing and a new damper.
Can anyone tell me why the anti freeze plugs is only for the block, where do I find the ones for the heads?

Bet those are early "closed chamber" heads and didn't have freeze plugs in the ends
