Is this legit 66 Belvedere

Looks legit to me. Google the company and call them.
Serial says Hemi no pictures of interior, underneath or in the trunk. That orange makeup can hide the ugly stuff. No scoop on 66.

Never ever seen a hood scoop like that on any 66 Belvedere from the factory with any engine......and the price for a Hemi car in that year isn't exactly high.

There are plenty of pictures of the interior (which looks pretty good) and inside the trunk (which show's a bit of rust), but agreed nothing underneath.
It's a good looking car but probably a bit of a gamble. I like it though.

The more I look at it, the front clip looks a little wonkey, hood fitment off, and the dash looks like it was sprayed with
krylon and yes rust in the trunk, was wondering if the factory did a special paint wouldn't the trim tag reflect that ?

Plastic hood and a max wedge scoop. It was originally black. There is nothing special about this car. they made 531 1966 hemi Belvederes.
It looks like a fairly clean hot rod. Need to go look at it to see if it is legit like the title of this thread is asking.

I think the whole "factory repaint and hood" is probably bullshit but makes for a good story nevertheless. If they had a copy of the Car Craft magazine with it on the cover then it would certainly change things. The Orange looks surprisingly good on the 66/67 shape though - it would be a pretty cool car to cruise around in.

Hood scoop must have been added by some other owner. But all and all it is a good looking car.

Are you kidding? I'm not even sure it's a '66 lol. "67 wheels, steering wheel, late radiator, upper hose neck, etc. Sure looks like tinted glass on a non-ac car too. The guys detailed description gave me a headache. God knows where that hood and scoop setup came from.... My gut says that car been in million pieces and put together with whatever.

Yes it’s a better car than this orange one. 80 K isn’t going to happen. For 80K I’ll shop 1967 hemi GTX cars all day long over a 66 Belvedere.
They would have to document that story to me. I don't believe much of it. Everything indicates a real Hemi car and one of the rarer automatics, but the statement says modifications were made and some removed. If the Hemi external transmission cooler had to be swapped for a larger one and a B&M ratchet shifter was added and now returned to the column shift tells me it probably doesn't have the original transmission and led an abused life. Factory Orange Peel, and factory fiberglass hood, I call BS. This is one that if you don't go and look at it in person and have good knowledge of what to look for you can get burned. IMO 60K tops for it if it's legit and no rust and the bottom is solid.
