In the latest Mopar collector's Guide there is a story on a farm equipment company from Plymouth Ohio that used the name before Chrysler. That was in the late 1890's till the 1940's.You may have something there.....

that's neat, just don't let the guys from "american pickers" see it.

That is the logo Plymouth used in the late 1940's. What that sign was used for, I'm not sure. Looks like it was part of something else. Anyway, here is an ad for 1948 Plymouth that uses that logo:

Plymouth made a frigton of stuff. Cars, trucks, boats, farm equipment, railroad locomotives....all kinda stuff. All under he same umbrella as Plymouth motor corporation. As a model railroader, the Plymouth "critter" locomotive is one of my favorites. Here is Accucraft's example in large scale. Runs on 45mm gauge track. Hard to make out, but it says PLYMOUTH right on top of the radiator cowl.

And a long time before that they were in the rock business in Massachusetts

The Plymouth Locomotive Works is a company named for the town where their factory was in Plymouth, Ohio.

Too late...
I called "Danni"
She said the boys "know where Cranberry Township", PA is.
They are on their way.
PS: Frank wants to "bundle the Plymouth sign with your MOPAR car"
LOL

No, they were intertwined, just like I said. Scroll down to "history". There were vehicles made, but not mass produced.

Railroad history is also a hobby of mine since I model them. This explains about the copyright infrigenment.

Gee Rusty, Modeling railroad huh?
I think you'd look "sweet" in a caboose outfit!
LOL
Im nasty today...
