If that van existed, and I saw it, I would **** myself laughing and then buy the owner a beer.

Very cool 1961 "I'm guessing" Dodge 4dr wagon or maybe even a sedan & wagon converted to be a pick-up kind of thingy, what do you call it ? maybe a you could call it La Pentagonio... Trying to make up a Italian name for it... Playing of El Camino...
Damon (Fugly) calls it Tugly....play on word for his race car which is named Fugly. Another 61 which is a 2dr sedan. Tugly was built from a 4 dr sedan.

Cranky, wasn't that one from right here that was in the restos thread? Seems i remember following along with it... He, I think wanted something unique and cool to haul his cars with? Sure does look cool to!
Not sure if it was in the restos thread here or not...but yeah, he built is as a short haul tow vehicle for his race car.

It took me a bit to find it but knew i had it, This was pretty interesting, There is nothing less then real talent on this site, Fugly being one of them... That car/truck, the hauler is something! Thanks again.

Cranky I like the 61Tugly it's pretty tastefully done, would have probably been much easier to make from an old wagon though... Fugly has some serious metal fab working talent....

What a waste

Cool stuff

Pops my Pops had a bunch of those Corvair, Ford, Dodge & VW Van/Pick Ups, when he owned Orinda Stage Lines delivering groceries & other small freight stuff around the S.F. Bay Area, in the late 50's to late 60's, when he lived in Lafayette Ca., when I was a little tike, I think he started with a couple 57 Plymouth Suburban Wagons.... I want one someday, a 2 dr. preferably

Whats cool also is Tugly sports a dual quad 451 under the hood. Damons a talented engine builder also. He helped with heads and advice on my build. Hes a carb guru too. One of those guys who can do it all.
