Probably because you didn't start with "Happy" with your search. You type "happy" and "Pops" in the member line and his thread is the first one listed.

Thanks for this post as it made me reflect a bit more on my dear-departed dad and FIL, than I might have. How blessed I was to have learned from them…the wisdom and experience they acquired.
They were of tremendous help with one project or fix-it or another, some I couldn’t have done without them and giving me enough of a boost to carry on. After all the years since they’ve passed on, still have occasions where I wish I could call them. And they’d always want to be of help.
Now, I think about all the fix-its I do for my daughters, Lord they can drum up some doozies. (Thanks ‘internet’.) But, SO glad to be able help them and blessed I still can.

During pandemic it was cheaper. And easier. Just drop at door step.It would have only been a $100 a few years ago..
If you subtract those that got seriously ill? I kinda miss those days. They were on to something with "Social distancing."
I have some biker friends. They said: "You want to see some distancing?" One I haven't seen sense!

You are WAY too busy on this Father's day. I'm on my way to Fleetfarm for a specific tool and new boots for myself. Somethings that can't be gifted. Lol.I still have Father's Day to look forward to ....September 1st down under.

True. But my narrative is Father's day is a day of hopefully some social distancing. But that never seems to be the case. So off to do some socializing I go.

There was controversy. One guy opened his mouth. "What about fathers day?" He was quickly beat up. But the damage was done. Another day men have to do something other than work/pleasure.
I have no evidence to support, but I suspect that's what happened!

I told my neighbor that Chic-Fil-A was giving free chicken sandwiches to all dads today. About 3 hours later he found me in the backyard
