it's cold and flu season..... yay

I deal with allergies all the time and about two months ago I was on the verge of a sinus infection and started running a temp. Norma wasn't feeling too good either and got some meds from a face time with her doctor. She got to feeling better pretty fast so I took one her her antibiotics and next thing I know, I'm doing good almost as fast. I also cammed some Allegra...which used to be a scrip med. With the weather doing a roller coaster ride, I'm having a bit of a hard time with the crap that's in the air and yeah, it's been windy here for the last several days.

flonase......

I had the worst allergies for almost 15 years, started back in 2009 out of nowhere....... got to the point where I just accepted it :BangHead:...... then it ratcheted up a notch, and became unbearable

somehow, probably out of desperation; I discovered flo nase about 2 years ago, actually the generic walmart brand ...... I used it daily, and all the allergy symptoms went away....... it was life changing

then I discovered once a week was plenty......... I now have ZERO allergy symptoms, the stuff just works

Wife and I have both been fighting head/chest colds for last 2 weeks. First week was the worst - runny nose, cough, mild fever, low energy. My wife developed bronchitis at a minimum and possibly pneumonia. Dr put her on some heavy antibiotics. She started her 2nd round last Friday. I never got the chest infection so a z-pac seemed to knock it down pretty quick. Mostly over it now. Just hoping the rest of the congestion clears up soon and it doesn't rebound.

I haven’t been sick in at least 1.5 years. I attribute my keto diet and exercise to strengthening my system. Plus, I am over 30lbs lighter.

Anything different (ingredients) from the Flonase and the Eguate cause the Flonase doesn't do jack for me and I gave it a good run. I can't just accept mine because if I leave it unchecked, it'll turn into a sinus infection. I've been dealing with 'colds' and sinus infections etc since I was a kid but once I got a handle on it, haven't had one in over 25 years now and that one that almost happened was as far as it got. Very mild for what usually happens.

Many years ago I used to take an allergy shot every day and that didn't help either and once I got an infection, the doc wanted to give me a steroid shot which only made things way worse. Last time into her office I asked for a script for Allegra and she argued with me and I told her that if it didn't work like I think it might, I'll come back for the shot but the Allegra did the job. Thing is now that it's OTC, I don't think it's as strong as it was before. Same thing with the flu shot....got the flu really bad not long after getting the shot. Quit getting the FS and haven't had the flu since and even that's been over 20 years ago but....I did try it again just to see and low and behold, didn't get the flu. My 'new' but old doctor said they used to make the vaccine with a very mild live strain but they don't do that anymore. I'm conflicted now about getting one as it makes my arm pretty dang sore.

Read above for my saga lol. And I lost 55 lbs over the last several years. Feels good to be able to wear clothing that I once was too big for....
