i had that grill rusted out in three years here in ohio. Bought a weber alot better quality the char grilled good just didn't last.I have a 3-burner Char-Broil TRU infrared with a side-burner. I love it.

I have 2 webers , but there on my slant six, lolI have 2 Weber's, had them both for 20+ years too
a small 'Smokey Joe' for traveling or small BBQ's
or overflow for the big 'Weber' kettle BBQ,
use a charcoal starter & a bit of newspaper, it goes pretty quick...
I mainly use them more when we have company...
I personally prefer the charcoal, I like mesquite infused briquettes,
also just wood, different types different flavors...
IMO it taste better than just LP gas, it may be just a preference
& you can smoke meat in them too, in smaller batches
IMO just not as good as indirect heat smoker...
All for when I want to sweat over a hot BBQ
out in the 100* heat...
Sucks, it's sort of a hassle to BBQ for just 2 usually,
I don't mind as much BBQ-ing for a bunch of people...
My sister has a Pellet Kettle & it works pretty nice...

My smoker is similar to that but the 1/4" thick pipe was split in half and a 7" wide section was welding in making the pipe oval shaped. The fire box is the same way. There are no wheels on it and it sits out at the end of the carport behind my shop and has an 8' tall 4" diameter stack with a rain cap on it. Yup, think truck exhaust pipe. The pit sits just close enough to the edge of the carport that the stack goes up above the carport so the only time I'm in any smoke is when it's opened. It has a damper on the firebox plus the rain cap is used to help control the heat. I'm sure there are better smokers out there but this one works pretty will imo.One of my friends over here is thinking about one of these Old Smokey setups...

Pictures people....pictures....LPG or propane for me....can't be hanging about waiting for a fire to start when there's meat to eat.
Pouring with rain here....middle of winter, Crockpot is on with a rolled shoulder of pork. Ready for some sliders tonight.
Apologies to those of you who don't have 'Smellovision 1.0' or above installed on your computers....

What's the jelly looking stuff on the bacon? I was going to use a different word than stuff but I'll be polite. Maybe that isn't bacon?

To each his own. My stomach would be in turmoil.I'm baaaaaaaack. That's a smear of butter....and it tasted absolutely awesome. I would would rather die happy with a contented stomach, than hungry and miserable eating lettuce and cabbage soup.
