If my kids were young, I’d def find a cool station wagon.

I'd like a Pontiac 2+2.

I had a couple of Ponchos long ago. Both 400/4 speeds. Great driving cars.

I was raised a Poncho fan, I like quite a few, but selective
I've had a bunch of Trans Am's 71 400 Ram Air III, 73 455 SD, 74 400,
84 turbo v6 15th Anniv.
89 20th Anniv., 92 Trans Am T/S Drag Car,
92 Firehawk, 94 25th Anniv. LT1, (also a white 94 Formula GT 315hp LT1)
1999 LS 30th Anniv. SLP Firehawk & 2001 LS3 WS6 Firehawk/SLP,
all/Firehawk's were also were Trans Am's"
also a 65 GTO's red/black 389 6.4ltr 370hp big valve/small combustion chamber heads
big port, the precursor to the Ram Air I, a 4 speed, was an org. a 3 speed car,
66 GTO Gold' Ram Air I XS-code 400 (rare) M21 & 4.33:1 gears from factory
3) 1st gen Firebird's 1) 67 Ram Air I 400 & 2) 68 400s & 1) 2nd gen 71 400 Formula

'I got it from'
My stepdad Bob was a big Pontiac fan,
he has a few 61-65 Booneville's & 421 Catilina's D/Ds too
he was friends with Mickey Thompson for a time,
(they had a fallout of sorts over a build in 1971)
also with his best buddy Wess, they always parked together at races,
drank together, traveled together too
Bob (Stepdad) had a few fast (for the day) S/S or Comp Eliminator Class Pontiac cars
1st, a 64 GTO 389 4bbl 4 speed post coupe, H/S
68 Firebird 400 Ram Air II 4 speed,
70 Formula 400 Ram Air III 4 speed,
69, 70 & 71 Judge Ram Air IIIs & IVs all 4 speeds,
later an joint experiment, with Pontiac Hemi 'X head' IIRC
of a org. 71 455-HO GTO 4 speed 4.33:1 gear, didn't pan out well
all kinds of valvetrain breakages, they (Bob, Wess & Mickey)
got in a huge fight over...

(Bob was a MoPar fan too, just like many Pontiac people, got me into it)

That was my dads first new car, he ordered it brand new as a very young man. His was Montero red, 65, Catalina ,2+2 , 421,4 speed, black guts , Ive seen old pics it was pretty . I love the stack on headlamps and the interiors were very well trimmed. He ran it hard and wrecked it several times. It was still in warranty and the 421 kept eating the Muncie, spun the bearing on the cluster shaft( I maybe mistaken) I know he still has the shaft , the trans wouldn’t hold the 421. I know it was at the dealer a lot early it’s life .. I’d consider a nice one! I bet those are like old Mopars , not easy to get parts for! My grand mother used to drive it for dad when he went off to Nam in 65. We will never see cars that reeked of style and beauty again.
He still has his bill of sale and all the paperwork and dealer brochure from it.

I have always liked Pontiacs myself. My good buddy has has numerous Pontiacs over the years. I have enjoyed working on them and restoring them with him. A 70' orbit orange Judge would be my pick.
