John S. Rehberg, 8/31/1956 to 9/14/2022, Dad you may be gone but you're always with me...

Of course, these are your pictures, so who am I to argue? I humbly stand down on my correction

All kidding aside, I sure do appreciate all you've contributed and continue to contribute to this thread.
My sincere thanks to you and all who've been part of it.
:luvplace:

I really enjoy the posts, it says a lot about you and it's all good!

If you've been following along, you may recall me mentioning dad owning a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.
I'm quite certain he bought this car brand new, I was about 5 years old.
So dad would be 22 or 23 years old in this picture.
The picture from the internet I uploaded to post #117 looks pretty close to the actual picture of that car I found recently(seen below).
Dad is on the right and his good friend Bob is on the left.
In the background you can see Bob's car.
I never could recall whether Bob's car was a Swinger or Scamp.
Looks like a Swinger from what little I see in the pic.
That was a little different for Bob, as he was a known Ford guy.
Bob is also the same guy who had the Mustang that dad blew the doors off of with his '70 Cadillac Calais.
If I didn't see that particular race with my own eyes I'd have a tough time believing that story.
More of that story is in post #102, if you care to know.

This is dad’s 1986 Chevy Caprice.
Originally a gray(almost silver) car, dad repainted this car as you can see back in post #121, where there is a bit more of the story.
Here’s a few more photos of that car I found recently.
The last photo you can see my mom and my baby sister sitting on the trunk.

This was a pretty cool find to say the least.
Follow the blue arrow to see a pic of dad’s 1986 Lincoln Town Car(that’s my little brother standing next to it).
More about that car is said back in post #123 if you so desire.

And follow the red arrow and you see my baby sister with our Brindle Great Dane “Mugsy” as a puppy.

Here’s the 1990 Geo Metro I mentioned dad having back in post #124.
I wrote a lot about this car in that post.
Again, at the time I posted this car originally in this thread, I could only find a google rendering of it.
I sure am glad I found some actual pics of it to share.

In this first pic, my dad pulled over to an old abandoned gas station and had my baby sister get out and pretend she was pumping gas.
Gotta love it.

And here’s another pic of my baby sister with that ‘90 Metro in there on the right side of this picture.
