just a little off the back and sides please

I am really enjoying this thread.
I'm doing a lot of metal replacement and used the Bloxide primer you suggested. My question is what paint products are you putting on top of the weldable primer? From what I understand it is an etch primer?
And nobody wants you to mix products.
Thanks for your time.

I rough up the excess bloxide pretty good with some 120 paper and epoxy prime over it.........on the exterior body panels I pretty much remove it with a DA

Pretty damn cool.

I have a 68 Coronet trunk lid that I feel like is fixable (skin is good except for bottom lip but frame needs bit of work). Is it as simple as drilling the spots out and then gently prying the lip all the way around? I'd like to take a crack at fixing it down the road, have a glass one for now.

hoods are pretty easy because the skin isn't fully "wrapped" 180*.......pretty much 90*

unfolding and refolding the fully wrapped skin (doors too) tends to "split" the edge resulting in welding the edge and making a bit of a mess...... I do however have a method for it...... I can get into that later, don't F up your trunk lid

Holy Molasses Batman!

sun had fried the paint off the doors, fenders, and hood leaving some fairly heavy pitted areas........ other than that, parts are nice and straight minus a couple dingers....... using ospho, I made love to the metal for a few days and applied a nice coat of epoxy

You can see the coating on the bare metal. Very nice! That'll never come off!

Looking good... I’ve got a couple of other cars I could keep you busy for awhile..!

You need to talk to the shop foreman. (Sticks and giant bones ARE acceptable "bribes")

wow...... I just thought, after the most recent post, nobody has commented on the ez divorce sign

anyway, I trash picked it

there are rumors swirling around that it covers a hole in the wall shaped like a woman's head.......

by the way, those rumors are totally unsubstantiated

The blue door and fender are from the Wife's 2015 Challenger. I had the body shop give them back after repairing the car. I bumped into another driver 6 years ago and wanted this reminder to keep me humble.
