Ready for the "INSPECTION"?

It is so cool seeing it getting some paint! Man, it's getting close!

I guess I better get my butt going on the engine - Hopefully I can finish balancing the internal assembly after all the piston lightening and crank work...

Barry & Hawk better bring something for the "SHOP FOREMAN" & "the Apprentice" when they come down!!!

I've learned you have to have a stick for the inspector or he may very well run you over!

But just to make sure he gets all his inspection work done right, I guess we better bring him a treat too! :brownnose:

I really like this color in the natural light

I agree this is a really cool blue. Darker than B5, but not a dark blue either. I know this is a repeat, but here is the car in its original paint glory...

You better bring a giant bag of treats for Rebel.

Color looks like modern "Frostbite", great color imo.

Great insights; thanks! Since it's 10 degrees in the garage, I'll probably have to hold off until spring to spray this stuff. Here's where I'm at right now. I 1) replaced the driver's side rear frame rail (internal sleeve with bolts); 2) cut out the trunk floor to replace with a piece from AMD; 3) fabricated patches for the fenders and wheel wells; and 4) cut out the rear window to be replaced with a better piece from a junkyard:

I have the Dutchman panel to replace as well as the trunk gutters and a couple of window cornder pieces.... and the drops. My welding is getting better. When I see the first attempts (wheel wells) I am embarrassed. At the same time, this is EXACTLY what I wanted: to learn to weld, shape metal, etc. It's been a ball!

Glad you got your heater back running properly - no good trying to paint in the cold!

Looks like it's getting close to the time when I should be rustling up a trailer for it!

Is there white smoke or black coming from the chimney?

Nice work Mark. On my cuda that still had it's original paint, it appears the factory painted the upper door frame colour first and then sprayed the body colour. I say that because in one spot near the door latch someone had removed some tape and it pulled off the body colour and the upper door frame colour was underneath.
