Keep frying fusible link

Do you have one of the terminals grounded to the case on the back of the alternator with the correct voltage regulator?

Won’t be around till afternoon, wife is having a procedure in the morning
Call me when you get home. I have to meet a guy here around three. Dropping off a 440- 6 pack distrib, the holey grails of prestolight!

Maybe 2 wires shorted to each other in eng.harness?

One green wire to voltage regulator one black to the other side spliced with blue which I think goes to amp meter

take one leg off the gauge and put it on the other post with the other leg.

bypassed
But if THAT post has a bad insulator, I THINK you'd still fry the fusible link. To be safe, I'd pull both and screw them together, bypass that pesky little SOB all together and the use electrical tape or shrink wrap to insulate the connection. That was the route I took.

Thank you for posting what you found. Some guys on here don’t even let you know what they find when you help them. I don’t think I helped much but I was watching. it’s frustrating a little bit when you don’t get feedback. Good job
