One green wire to voltage regulator one black to the other side spliced with blue which I think goes to amp meterDo you have one of the terminals grounded to the case on the back of the alternator with the correct voltage regulator?
But if THAT post has a bad insulator, I THINK you'd still fry the fusible link. To be safe, I'd pull both and screw them together, bypass that pesky little SOB all together and the use electrical tape or shrink wrap to insulate the connection. That was the route I took.take one leg off the gauge and put it on the other post with the other leg.
