I'm spreading the word that Kentucky kicks ***.

This is a bit ironic since I don't live in Kentucky, I've never been to Kentucky, and I don't know when I will ever visit Kentucky. But that's not important right now. What is important is that I love when a sense of humor combined with a sense of pride makes the big time, and this campaign is all about that.

So congrats, Kentucky. You new slogan has caught my attention, and convinced me that Kentucky kicks ***.

Here's what I know about Kentucky........

Richard, you're looking at the glass wrong.

Gotta look at it as half full.

I'm from Ohio.

I remember when the briars in KY started throwing grenades over the river, into Cincy.

That really angered the Cincinattians, who, of course, pulled the pins and threw them back.

Just kidding.

Kentucky is beautiful country.

I've been caving there several times, and I have lots of friends with family in KY.

"Deliverance" was based in Tennessee,if I'm correct. Still related,in a way...

Best 'shine I've ever had came from Alabama-pure corn likker that went down like air and lit a fire in the belly. Worst I've had came from Florida;tasted like turpentine mixed with anti-freeze. Not a reflection of the state's backwoods distillers, just an observation on that particular batch. I've had Kentucky shine that came close to the Bama Brew for taste(?) and effectiveness.

Maker's Mark. GO-O-O-OD stuff. If I still drank...still would prefer a good Canadian over any other.

Well as a native Kentuckian my whole life, I can honestly say that Yes...we do Kick *** around here. In all honesty though, Kentucky is a good place to live for the most part.... property taxes aren't too bad, you can buy one heck of a home out here for the money, and for the most part the people are more often-than-not nice respectable people with good values. Here in the western part of the state, you don't see as many imbreeders (however, there are always exceptions to the rule).... you start seeing some of that in the more mountainy portions of Eastern Kentucky.

Oh I forgot to mention... we have a Kick *** collage basketball team... at least most of the time. haha
