Kickdown linkage adjustment

I just had the transmission rebuilt and When placed into drive my 71 charger doesnt move. It takes a significant amount of throttle for it to start to move. I belive the kickdown linkage needs to be adjusted.However i am dollowing the instructions and am not seeing the desired result. Can some one provide advice.

Throttle link won't affect what your describing. Are you sure the fluid level is up ? Sounds to me like something wasn't done right internally.

Yep, at a minimum the fluid level is low.

Check fluid, band adjustment then try again. If same thing happens, disconnect throttle linkage and gear selector in park. Start car, hold brakes, have someone manually put it in Drive underneath the car, then see if it goes into gear normally and drives normally (after they get out from under car. .. unless they voting for Hillary. ..)
