My son had a the same thing happen to his 2011 mustang at our local cruisein we were sittin right there and some jackasses unrestrained kids picked up some rocks from a nearby gravel walkway and threw them in the air one of them hit the rear window and chipped it bounced down and chipped the paint on the quarter[his car was brand new had couple hundred miles on it],the father of these brats rounded them up and hauled ***.We caught up with him a few fridays later he agreed to have it fixed never saw him after that,then the following friday we parked as far away from the walkway as possible and i'll be damned if someone elses kids don't toss a big handfull of leaves/sticks/stones and a stone skipps across his roof we confront the grandmother and she blamed us for not watching her kids i went off and told her that they ain't my responsibilty you brung em you watch em or leave the little bastards at home and if there is damage you will pay,there was no damage this time. The odd thing is both these parents have classic cars and would have a fit if this happened to them,however the first guy was a real estate flipper and i guess he's broke because most of his cars are for sale locally at a classic car dealer,the others we have not seen lately.My son does not take his car any more he goes with me.

Good luck getting anything out of those jokers. Of course it wasn't their little angel who did anything! The cops around here a usually too "busy" to investigate (pay a visit), anything they don't see. I hope you have a full coverage policy on your car and don't carry a big deductable. I've got my cars covered w/ a specialty co, J.C. Taylor, and don't know how they would handle this type of damage.

Wow!!! I would contact your insurance company and tell them what's going on. With a police report handy, there's a real good chance they'll fix it for you and then go back and collect/sue their insurance company for the cost's.

As far as the parent's/kid's....what comes around, goes around.

Yup, the damage came from a person staying on their property and they are responsible for what happens from their property. Have you talked with your insurance company yet? Yeah, I'd be tempted too to lay down some rubber but imo, it's best to not antagonized them or give them any reasons to throw back at you....and they do not have to disclose who may have been the one who is responsible for the other kid. They are the one that responsible for what happened.

Got an estimate today for $2622. Fixing the dents and color coat is not that bad, but they will only clearcoat to joints so as not to have problems in the future. Both quarters, roof, rockers, in front of decklid. Rear bumper, drip rail moldings, windshield, trim and gasket will all be removed. This is the place that painted the car originally and I trust them to do the job right. They want the car for 5 days. I called my insurance company today ( Grundy Worldwide) and can say nothing but "wow" as to their policies. The customer is their main concern. I can have the car repaired anywhere I want, they will pay the bill and then collect from the a$$holes homeowners insurance company. I hope they have about a $2000. deductable. Needless to say I am very impressed with Grundy as long as they follow through with what they have told me.

Since the nice lady isn't at fault, I would press charges on the little heatens *** criminal mischief and when they go to arrest their little wimp ***, I feel assured the mother will make the trip to jail for running her no fault mouth. I would never have done that as I knew my old man would beat the crap out of me then make me get an extra job to pay for the damage. I guess people today think they all raise angels or the kids are just following sorry *** examples they see a home.

Hey pushrod our dads must have known each other. Crap like this always bothers me about my old cars except around here its illegals with no insurance who cant seem to follow the laws of the road.

maybe you should do the same and file small claims or actually take her to court.like you said they are responsible for the minors. it sounds like the kids are going to grow up and now the courts really well and the mother is going to tell everybody that they are innocent no matter what.
