I have a LA 360 question. The Previous owner of my 66 Charger installed a LA 360 with a 1793 build date in it. I took off the timing cover to address 2 of the 4 Water pump bolts that go into the water jacket had corroded ( apparently the PO liked using raw water without corrosion preventative/anti-freeze) I ended up using EZ-Loc thread repair because you cant use Heli-Coils in a water system. Anyways when I removed the timing cover there was no oil slinger installed. Do I need to install a new one or can I just put it back together and not worry about it?
