I ordered up LED units for my 67 wagon. I also ordered a flasher unit for the LED's. Got all of the exterior bulbs in, switched out the flasher, but no functioning there. Then I remembered there was another LED flasher with a separate ground lead on it. Got that today, tried it out, still no flashing. The 232? unit I found, center area of the dash in its own little spring clip holder, appears to be the only flasher unit on the car. I don't have an FSM yet, on the want list, but am stumped so far. Not sure if I need to do the bulbs in the cluster, those are still on their way, to make everything function. Any ideas homies?

There are two flashers - one flasher controls the turn signals and it is ahead of the switch so that regardless of which direction you turn the ligts are still controlled by that single flasher. On my '69 its a rectangular flasher. I suspect the other flasher is for four-ways. Did you swap them both ? I believe they both ground through the shell so if replacing with a plastic case unit they would need a ground lead coming off them.

Ok. I did find a rectangular style unit just under the glovebox. Two spade unit, same style plug. I'll check that rascal out later. For sure need to get that FSM. At least it's available off Amazon as a reprint. $60.00 or so. Thanks dude!

Now this might not apply to you, but I remember when I changed to LED on mine I had to swap the two wires in the harness side connector that plugs into the flasher module with the pigtail. Just switch slots

Polarity differences. Didn't think of that one. Something else to play with. Thank you.

Think you can download free FSM on one of the sites

It's something I want to get anyway. I like being able to go back and forth between sections for stuff.

I had to do this on my 68 as well.

Also, are all the lights working ? Other than they will not flash for turn signal or hazards

I had same problem with my 70 Coronet. Put the standard bulbs back in my front turn signal/parking lamps. And all work after that.

All of the exterior light are working. I'll do some more putzing on the flashers. Like check out the square unit by the glovebox to see if thats the t/s one and go from there. Thanks dudes!

I ordered up a manual from Amazon, supposed to be here the 23rd? When I get back home, traveling, I'm going to do some more investigating. One thing I want to do is pull out the square unit below the glove box and check the number from it against my parts manual to see what it is. Hope you all are doing well wherever you are.

If it has a pigtail then its not a "polarity" issue. There is only + and - and the pigtail is the - . FWIW the turn signal flasher is "in" and "out", not + and -.
THat is true of standard flashers... But not LED flashers... Swap the wires...

Gots Blinky, Blinky, Blinky after the wire swap! Just got the cluster bulbs swapped after being contorted to get at them all. Still need to put two sockets/bulbs etc into the trio gauge panel so they illuminate. Going to put the various pieces back into the dash that I took out for access but I'm taking a break so the back doesn't get too stiff. Ha!
I learned something after perusing the FSM. The wagon came with a 273, not a 318 like I originally thought.

On my 65 today I tried flashers of both types and wire swap no blink action. Now I only did rear bulbs. Wonder if it maters?

My wagon is fine after the wire switch on the plug and using the flasher with the separate ground lead. I did use the first LED flasher without the separate ground for the hazards and they too work. My dash lights are good to go and all functioning with the exception of the rh blinker one. A bulge socket with a broken tab, so not contacting the circuit board correctly. Have a replacement coming for that.
