I am posting to thread because no where in the world could I find exactly what I was looking for.
If anyone was ever thinking of doing the same, I hope this helps!
I am working my 71 RR.
I wanted to have the DRL turn off, and Amber on with Parking, Flash with turn or Hazards, turn back to DRL when Headlights are on, and still flash Amber on turn.
So it took some time, a few ideas from others and put this mess together. Now it was not easy and there are many relays involved, but I was able to hide them in the fender wells behind the headlights.
I also took time out to make a harness so I did not have to cut into the factory wiring. I purchased one for the Headlights and just had to modify for the dual lamps. The lights i purchased actually comes with the extra pig tails. I then made one for the relays, flashers, front markers and DRLs. It took a bit to get it all straight, but ended up only cutting the wire for the marker lights on each side.
I have installed full LED with DRL and Amber Turn. I picked them up on E-Bay for less than 100 with shipping. The ones I purchased only needed a small nob on the back taken off. No mods to the buckets or original wiring.
I have the DRL set for Running power. Next I am actully going to look into a vacuum actuator so they only turn on when the engine is running.
When the turn signals or hazards are enabled, the DRL will turn off and then flash amber. Upon turning off, DRL resumes.
When Parking Lights are turned on, the White DRL will turn off.
The turn signals and hazards work the same as above. The amber parking lights will turn off and then flash. Upon turning off flasher, DRL resumes.
When the headlights are turned on the parking light will disable and the DRL will resume. When the Turn signal or hazards are enabled, the DRL will turn off and then flash amber. Upon turning off flasher, DRL resumes.
Headlights will stay on during the turn signal at night.
I am in NJ, this is legal, and can not see why it is not legal in any state. I have them working basically the same as my 2022 Dodge Durango R/T.
The next step is to potentially add two more relays to have the front marker lights flash on turn as well.
I have also changed every bulb in the car to LED.
I will post some final pictures once it is back together.
There is one caveat when activating the High Beams, but you can insert an optional relay to take care of that.
FYI make sure you change your Flashers to No Load Flashers compatible with LED.
I converted my Front Markers to Flashers as well for looks and safety.
I think I have the diagrams correct, but if you find something off, let me know and I can correct them.
I have to put everything back together, take some photos and videos. I will post them soon.
Design below is excluding the front marker lights with the optional high beams.
You will need seven (7) standard change over relays, 5 pin Bosch style and two 2 (2) delay off 5 pin Bosch style.
Below is actually what i ended up with.
