Well i was going back with black.! But i am looking at other ideas the black that is on it is a very low gloss black so i really don't know i would have to say i am still kicking it around.

A guy I know locally just finished his 67 GTX as a 70's style street freak and painted it a stock color, olive green basecoat, and used a satin clear over it. Looks good I am waiting for him to bring it out this spring to get some pics.

Nice site is that your plmouth have you posted any pics here if u did i am a brain less man so forgive me if you have not please do love the color on that car.

Looks like you've got the engine compartment painted with the Medium Metallic Blue for 67, same color as my car. I have posted so many pics of it on this thread, and others, some guys are probably sick of seeing it!

No way i want everone with a 66-67 b-body car finished or not to post its nice to see other ideas & biuld friendships.

Here's my 67 Charger.
Not original.
It was a 318,now a 440,going to be a 512 as soon as the engine is out of the machine shop on Friday.

Yea that what i am talking about keep posting updates so tell us more motor plans, trans & so on.!

My Project...

Here is my car soon after my dad and I bought it way back in '90 for $150 at age 15.

Here are are the specs:
'67 Satellite
318 with 727
3.23 8 3/4 rear (non Suregrip)
black interior
original yellow with black vinyl top
originally sold from Weist Motor Company in York, PA
bought from same dealer (known as York Chrysler Plymouth) in 1990 (used car trade in)

I believe that I am the 3rd owner. After almost 22 years, still in process of resto, but thankfully this long period has been due to some good distractions (college, house, great wife & 2 great kids). Now I have 2 willing assistants (ages 4 and 6) to help get it back on the road (hopefully before they graduate!).

Future plans:
paint original yellow color with silver under the bodyside moldings and black vinyl top
rebuild correct year '67 318 to original specs with these exceptions:
'68 340 manual spec cam
273 4-bbl intake with AVS carb
stock exhaust manifold with dual exhaust
chrome magnum 500's

Thanks for a great website with great Mopar fans. Keep up the good work!
