Here are a couple pics of my new 65. I found it a few weeks ago and couldn't pass it up. It was an orginal 361 4 speed car, but now has a 383. I was in the 7th grade and an "upper" classmate's parents bought a new 65 Satellite with a 383/auto. He drove the crap out of it trying to break the auto so he could get them to put a 4 speed in it. He never broke it. I have loved the 65's ever since.
Thanks for all of the pics in this thread. I do love the older Mopars.

Daryl,

I almost bought a '65 Satellite that looked just like your Belvedere a couple of years ago. Same color and the exact same wheels and hubcaps. I had to pass on it once I found that the front frame rails were rotted. Nice looking car.

Nice Plymouth there 62Savoy.. what motor are you strapping into that body?

Stumper, Love the 62 Glad to see you are doing great things to a four door.
I have a 64 that I hope to Max Wedge in the future.

What are you building there? Looks pretty nice.

just built a World aluminium block 572 cu in for the street! and maybe alittle strip.kept the CR down to 10-1 and it dynoed at 734 hp 690 ft pd torque.eddy victor heads and intake, 700 lift comp cam and a dommy to feed it! Should be fun!!!!!:idea1:

Thanks guys for the nice comments. I know that Mopars are prone to rust problems, and when I came across the 65 and was crawling arond under it, and no rust, I had to buy it. Most of the undercoating is still there. I think that the engine, radiator, wheels and radio are the only non original items. I'm thinking of getting some Torq Thrust D wheels for it over the winter.
Thanks again guys.

A bet that will be "fun" on the street.... :steering: I wish now I would have stroked my 440 to get the power instead of running a big cam and high compression. At the time I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the car but these days she just sees cruise ins and car shows and no track time. Big inches and lower compression would be a whole lot better. Sweet ride you have there.:wtg:
