I had read a couple years ago that Consumer Reports had rated Liquid Wrench as the best spray can penetrant. I found this YouTube video today with a similar result. No need to spend the big bucks,.....

Different applications for different products.
I use wd-40 for most applications because it's the cheapest and comes in the handy use cans.

I also use Liquid Wrench, Blaster, and Sea Foam Brand. Each with a different use.

My dad bought an entire case of Justice Brothers 80, I refure to use that though because it smells worse than ****!

I think a lot of people misuse WD-40 as a lubricant and not as a water dispersant as intended.

WD 40 does a wonderful job of cleaning a 49 year old aluminum alternator casting, it's useless for much anything else.

I'm not wasting 10 minutes for a answer that I may never get. So who won?

I use PB Blaster. Works great. I've heard good reports from someone using Kroil Oil, but I haven't found it in stores.

It's good for softening and dissolving the glue on annoying stuck on paper stickers.

I don't think you will find Kroil in stores you have to be a shop or company to by it by the case i bought a can off e-bay . The thing i hate about PB blaster is the can will lose the aerosol out of it if you don't use it within a year or 2 .

I use to use Liquid Wrench,
probably still have a old can somewhere
I use the WD-40 for locks in the winter
it does well, it's not a great lubricant
it does displace water, somewhat well

I have some generic brand penetrating oil on the shelf now

A torch or heat gun & wax (or candle) method works great too
in places you can do such a thing,
draws in the wax 'like it's solder',
frees up stubborn rusty stuff
"sometimes works amazingly well", sometimes not so well

See my avatar... a can of liquid wrench on the floor in front of my Charger.:)

I prefer Marvel, wish they made an aerosol as a penatrant or S'ok...WD is awesome too, but seems to be more of a solvent than an oil.
Site has 2000 uses

PB Blaster works very well. Nothing as far as i know beats Kroil. Kroil is all we used in power generation which has severe conditions one would never encounter with a automobile

Damn, can't believe I like something Steve said.

Just Stirring it a little Steve!

Use WD40 for sturgeon & liquid wrench on stuck nuts.
