Looking for my 383

Looking for the 383 that came in my 70 rt challenger convertible if any one can help.

The engine was in the central Alberta area in the mid to late 90 for sale in a 68 69 or 70 b body. I was told the car was red. The reason the owner took the engine out was because it had really high compression. My vin # js27nob214466. I was allso told the car was in Caroline Alberta. But I have not been able to prove that yet.

For any information it would be greatly appreciated

Locating motor

Since its been as far back as the 90's; chances of ever locating that motor are near impossible before the internet took off.

Most guys know what size motor/or car they came from; if its a replacement. But its beyond rare the last few digits of what shows on the block is ever kept. The whole Vin is only for the Dash/Fender Tag Unfortunately.
