Low deck Giant

Some photos of the rest of the cars winter make over

So I'm itching to get it out for some test and tune work.

I hope you bring that thing out to SIR this year.

What caused the change in direction with the motor? You seem to be moving into race car territory.

What brand and how loud is your fuel pump?

Honestly I have more fun racing than cruising, people are retarded on the street and could care less if you drive a classic. Feel safer at the track. My A1000 pump is very loud. I do plan to be at SIR this year, probably will spend more time at Castrol though.

:thumbsup:That low deck sounds mean i'm going to be building one also I got a 72 block around and trick flow heads and trick flo intake just saving money but man that's going to rumble

Very nice looking car! Bet you can't wait to make a pass in it. Keep us informed!

Awesome Wookie! Those are some really impressive #s and it sounds the part too. Looking forward to seeing some numbers.

First time out with the new combo, 10.90 bests, 123MPH & 1.54 60 foot. Not bad for 4000 + pounds.
I can put more timing in it and leave harder on the brake yet. So room to grow!

Yeah. A little suspension tuning and I need to figure out best place to shift at. I can go up with the timing a bit yet as I wanted it backed down a bit for my first trip. Overall I am pretty happy. The car is big and I always get guys at the track coming to talk to me because they are shocked what it runs because it's a tank. Been told more than once it's a car that is never forgotten at the track.

The rear suspension you have is fully adjustable? You should be able to set it up to stay flatter on launch.

I wonder how the rear suspension will hold up to that level of use?

You must one of the only guys with this fast and heavy a car using it.

Looks great!

Spoke with Bill at RMS about it. He said 2 things.
I'll need a rear anti roll bar at that HP. He figured it would roll at that power. With my stock fuel tank I'm snooping around to see what will work best.
He also said to replace the bushed bars with actual link bars. But figured I should be fine for a season or 2 as the bushings are pretty tough.
I used his recommendation on shock settings and we are pretty close already.
Need to tighten right rear now next trip and see if that helps take some roll out. Moving forward now that I have a base she is 1 step at a time.

You can see the need for the ARB in the launch. I just bought a real heavy one for the bird.

Will get to run it again on the 28th. Gonna get to the scale to get an exact weight and have to check the stall in the converter yet. In my eagerness to run it, I forgot to check actual stall speed.
