Hey everyone, the suspension is going together...kinda. I'm assuming the pivot should be seated all the way into the k-frame? It was powdercoated so I'm thinking it may need to be cleaned out? Thanks! Matt

I'd remove ALL of the powder coating, if not over time it can compress and get beat back into dust leaving you with a loose fitting shaft. If you have an old junk shaft I wonder if you could slice it lengthwise in several spots with a cuttoff wheel to create a reamer that you could use on a drill? Might take a little experimenting but that sure would simplify getting it out without gouging it up?

It's at the body shop still, I'll let him know. They probably have some kind of round sanding discs or something that can get in there, I'll ask. Thanks! Matt

With rubber bushings, it should not be too tight in the K frame. It needs to rotate a bit until ride height is set, and the nut tightened.

It should not and will not go all the way in to that ring on the shaft.

Do not torque down the nut or tighten it until it is at ride height. The pin doesn't go in all the way to the raised ring though.
