machine gun tips

I had the first PM to BIGCOUNTRY and he told me there are three others ahead of me...does no one PM in the thread anymore? I thought that is how we do it so we know who is after the item.....
AL

Well obviously you weren't the first pm. I honestly hate the "pm sent" posts, seems to defeat the purpose of the private message, it's I could care to read about sent pms when I'm following a thread. Sorry for breaking "the rules", I had official pm #2 for the tips and I'm hoping the sender of pm #1 bounces his check! Bigcountry has been great, thanks!

Nothing against Big Country, he sent me a message letting me know who is ahead. I have sold a few things on FABO and got some people POd because they had the first PM sent listed on the board, but I sold it to the first guy who messaged me.....so do you check the thread and sell to first responder there or the first INBOX mesasage? 50/50

Anytime I had this happen the first person to contact me got first choice no matter how the got a hold of me.

I guess that is the way I will do it as well, and I will put that in the ad as well so I don't get s#*t on again LOL

I just got my pair of Slotted tips today that I bought of ebay. I have been looking at the stainless ones that are VERY expensive. Then I figured the originals were not stainless so why bother.
I got a very nice pair of the chrome long tips shipped to my door for $130 bucks...man these thing are nice quality and about $200 cheaper.

Which ones did you go with for $130?

Exhaust Tips

Attached is a photo of the set I purchased from P.G. Classics for the 3" exhaust. Though I had to exchange the first set because the welded hook was off center, the red painted portions have held up well after 2,000 miles.

VERY nice msb0824!

I was wondering if he wasn't just taking the opportunity to show off that car.
I would literally eat off the underside.

...of COURSE they're gonna hold up well, if you wipe down the inside after every trip...

X2! But can ya blame him for showing off! Oh, wait, this was about tips! The bottom is pretty though! I live on a dirt road, so rhino-lining the bottom of my RR is in my future!

71-72 Exhaust Tips

I appreciate the compliments and responded to this thread because of concerns of the flaking and burning of the red paint. I took a chance with P.G. Classics because I had heard of similar problems with their tips. But at the time they were the only supplier I was aware of that carried the tips with the hooks for the 3" exhaust. Cleaning the tips periodically is not only part of my detailing process, but reaffirms that the red paint is holding up well.
