Mark Artis aka Texas Thunder Performance Roll Cage

He refuses to take any responsibility for his work. its going to cost me 10k to fix it

I learned a lesson the hard way on a construction job on my house. I now do more background checks than ever. If I see one red flag I cross them off. They are only as good as their worst job cause it might be you...........

BTW I CAN weld better than that blind folded!

you should see his racecar and all the cars hes built that are on the walls. great resume...no longer applicable though

Worst welding I've seen ever.

Even beat that badly in high school! Apparently he's from the 'high' school flunkie class. Thanks for the warning.

I cant believe this guy is supposed to be a welder as I can weld beter then that and I am no pro or even close. Dont he know you cant grind on the welds as per the NHRA rulebook. No grinding the welds to make them look better. I am glad you caught that and that you are fixing it. Bummer it has to come out of your pocket. Ron

He may have saved his own life and along with many others ,this guys and his business should be under investigation !

He doesn't know the first thing about welding, that's obvious, so there's no way he would know any NHRA rules on cages. I wouldn't let someone with his lack of talents weld on my lawnmower or even get near it!

Hi, my name is Jason Jackson from Racefab Inc. here in Rusk, Texas. We have removed several cages similar to this to install our cages. We have developed techniques for installing really tight fitting cages that are fully tig welded, with NASA aerospace certified welders. It is very difficult to fully weld and properly install a high quality roll cage and some builders simply leave welds unfinished or poorly welded if they're difficult to reach. If you are in Texas and looking for a high quality true safety cage that has been tested in high speed roll overs y'all should definitely check us out.

You paid someone to do that crap! If I could not weld any better than that I would absolutely be embarrassed to charge someone. I am truly surprised you were not killed looking at that junk. Find a professional this time. Was the cage certified? If so how?

The easiest way I have found is to use a hole saw and drop the cage down through the floor pan. This gives you all the access needed to properly weld each overhead joint. Once the welding is completed raise the cage back into place and use the 1/8" 6 x 6 supports to cover the holes.

Mark Artis Bud...that is the last of my worries............there must be 40 or 50 others that are still out there competing all across the country that I built and are still winning and have never failed to certify....and there must be 200 or 300 that are riding on my back halves..............

if thats his back half work, theres some people in Dire Danger at this very moment.
that guy needs to be Shut Down, and sued in claims court.

take your cage & car over to this Jason guy who posted and get a Professional Estimate and Opinion from him of the Quality and Safety of that Prior work,Esp the back half omg what a disaster.
then take that Paperwork to claims court, get a settlement, and then have the locals shut him down.
this guy is Endangering peoples lives.

any of you remember that vid with that dart,
where his rearend literally tears right out while giving it some go juice?
just think what that would be like @ 150mph.

Seriously that is some crazy $h!t!! Sorry to hear you'll be fighting to get your money back, plus the whole hassle of it all. That 4-link install especially is sketchy as all hell. I'm 23, don't consider myself an expert and I haven't taken an actual class since my high school shop class, but even I can weld better than that lol there's no excuse for that kind of work

Hey, wait a minute. Why aren't we slowing down?
She don't know me too well, does she, Deke?
Not likely she ever will. We have about one second to live

Shabby? That wasn't even a squeeze.
no, I'll tell you what that was, mister.
That was a flash maneuver!

Keep going, you're gonna blow this engine sky high.
I ain't blowing nothin', partner.
I guess that's not a rod I hear
That's right. It ain't.
