So my 68 roadrunner came with AC and had the max cooling 26” radiator? Which fan would it have used? And I am assuming it would have had a thermal clutch correct with that package correct? Anybody know correct part numbers?

According to Hurd:
1985 513 Fan
**another edit: I looked at the broadcast for my Charger - a '68 "H" 383-4 Auto A/C St. Louis 331 Red (so 'spring'/mid-year/late) with 56 "spacer" and 47 Rad. which is showing a "16" fan (2863 216), so that early 1960s series 513 number is likely outdated, too. I'm sure Paul Hurd put countless hours into researching that book, but ...grain-of-salt.... it's got to be 30+ years ago by now.

2658 456 drive (clutch; thermal)
2898 047 Radiator (A/C) or 2949 054 edit* 2898 048 (Max Cooling)

Why did your car have max cooling? A/C is not a max cooling radiator, it comes with a 2 core 2898047, and max cooling 3 core 2898048. They use different radiators.

You need a broadcast sheet, order form, or a window sticker to know which one it came with.

The 2949054 quoted above is a max cooling Rad for 1969 cars.

My mistake. I know it had the 2898347 radiator. Maybe I shouldn’t have said max cooling package. Just trying to find out what fan and clutch it is supposed to have. Have a partial broadcast sheet that shows that but it’s missing some small sections and has spring marks so you can’t see everything.

Factory 4 speed with factory a/c?
Yep. It’s legit according to Dave Wise. These were before it was torn down. Engine and transmission were already out though

Do you have the fender tag? How did he determine it was a factory 4 speed a/c car? Just curious.
Yes I have the fender tag. Plus look at the firewall and dash. It’s obviously an AC car. Car had never been touched or painted. Has the numbers matching transmission and engine also. They didn’t order many options on it but they did get AC, three speed wipers, and fender mounted turn signals. Came with painted steelies, dog dishes, and obviously a coupe. F
Didn’t get the decor package either although it being a Dec 67 built car I am not totally sure you could get it yet either.

I wont argue as to what the car looks like. So the fender tag and build sheet are both coded for the 4 speed and a/c?

I had to ask. Way back in the 77 or 78 I had a early built charger. 383 4 speed with a/c. The fender tag coded it for an automatic. Cars were not worth much back then and numbers did not mean much. Car was wrecked and I bought it from the kid that was from Detroit but going to college here. He was hanging out with some local guys I knew so I was able to talk to him about it. As the story went the guys uncle was a wheel in Detroit for the dodge division. He somehow had the car taken apart and converted to a 4 speed at some part of the plant. You could not tell it had been done. I don't remember if there was numbers on the transmission. I was always under the assumption no 383 4-speeds with a/c.

According to Dave Wise there were some. Just not many and no way tk determine just how many as those type records don’t exist breaking down individual options. He said it was very rare but they do exist. That’s one of the reasons I am trying to restore it right. It didn’t get power steering or power brakes either. Really a weirdly optioned car but back then they would pretty much order whatever you wanted

As almost always - info I lifted from Hamtramck Historical. I don't have the ordering guide for Plymouth, but this is from the dealership data book:

And this is not Plymouth, but a lot of configuration conventions cross-pollinate among "brands" for a given body-class - this is from the ordering guide for Charger:

**edit to add cropped image since this website's scaling function leaves that 2nd image pretty much unreadable:

383-4bbl four speed a/c cars are not common but they do exist. It was a combo that was OK to order.

Here's a RR from 1968: 62 3 S/1
