I’m running a 4.10 gear and the converter is NOS Hurst 11” shotgun street converter that is a 19 spline ,I still have the original 66 transmission in the car so it’s tuff to find a performance converter but it’s stall is 2800 . The car is a slug out of the hole so I have work to do the carb for sure needs attention it’s a 12 second car .

Got it. I'm running the same gear ratio. I went with an FTI converter, 3600 stall.

I'm sure your right about the 12 sec, just a matter of finding it, but that's half the fun.

Give me a heads up the next time you head down to Mid Mi Motorplex, I'll try to make a run over and watch.

A good ol fashioned holley 750/780 will wake er up

I highly recommend the edelbrock avs2. I was fighting factory carbs on my car, plopped one on, did a little tinkering, and it worked awesome!

Had a 66 Belvedere II in high school. 318, 3 on the tree. Navy blue. Never saw a green one. Way cool!

It stumbles at takeoff I have most of it tuned but not there yet.

Update I got the carb stumbling problem fixed and went to test and the tack took a crap:/ it’s only 45 years old . Not sure what rpm were I was shifting at and very bad air but if did run 13.2 and 60 foot picked up but mile per hour was down 2 miles due to air and not shifting at 6000 ,but the carb stumbling is fixed sweeet…..

I got my NOS Actron 2 tachometer today ,it’s a 1984 new in the box unit .
