Medical update on Bladecutter

Spoke to Jimi today by phone. The guy has some brass balls. He's got plenty of plans to work on his beloved stuff. Cars and art. His attitude is good and he doesn't complain. I admire the guy and pray for his recovery. Blade on Jimi my man!

BC-
I feel awful for not seeing this thread before. I don't typically peruse the "non-car" threads on here.
I've now read the entire thread and my heart just jumps out for you, man.
I've walked some of what you're walking now (3 times "dead", 3 other times cancer and staring at possible #4 now).
No way to sugar coat it - it blows. It hurts a ton, especially if you eschew painkillers like I stupidly insist on doing.

Without getting too long-winded here, I admire your grit and determination and your amazing attitude especially - that one is incredibly tough to maintain at times, wish I'd done better with it sometimes actually.
Everyone deals with stuff the best way they can.
Mine was to get worked up and royally pissed off at it every time, which meant I wasn't that pleasant to be around sometimes - but that's what worked for me.
Cancer can go fruck itself, the bastard.

God bless you and keep you and again, apologies for not catching this thread sooner. You can bet I'm here for the duration now. :)

"Rock-on" Jimi!

Blade,
I just came across this and it depressed the hell out of me. The last time I was on a thread with you was earlier last year and I viewed you playing some guitar riffs on some amp you built and then goofing with you about that spider and scorpion thread. That was in December. All along I had no idea that you were going through all this. Damn, I feel like an idiot. All I can say is I am really sorry but from what I am seeing, your attitude will defeat it all. Remember, it is mind over matter! I have seen enough miracles that I know that it's true. You can will yourself well and with all the support from here I know that you will make it. God bless you and may your recovery be swift and painless!

Thx:):):):):):):)

Blade, here to help! I was Stage 4 Colorectal cancer 14 years ago. It came back a year later in the Lung. I went thru all the treatments and I am here today. Hang very tuff. You can beat this. Private message anytime you want to talk.
Thx:):):):):):):)

Cancer has seen your chemo and raised spreading to the spine. Time to see cancer's raise and raise back on cancer. Jimi, I am sorry that this cancer is being a pain in the ***, but keep fighting it a day at a time. Your positive attitude has served you well so far and I believe it will continue to do so. I also think those blades you cut are anti-cancer therapy, keep cutting and polishing brother!!!!!

Hey BC- Your work is awesome. So is your writing, some pretty creative stuff though sometimes disjointed. You should write a book !!!! You're an artist in the true sense of the word. Hang in there bro !!!!

Existential ****....is it really ****?? And we all have dreams and bucket lists. Some of us get a long time to try and fulfill them and some of us don't. Figured I'd never live this long after some of my hard playing, working and doing really stoooopid stuff but did get to do a lot and for that I'm grateful. There are still things I want to do but the money isn't quite there anymore for some of it. Here lately I'm trying to reduce the 'stuff' that's in the shop. My wife thinks I'm going to 'go' before she does (isn't that usually the case?) and doesn't want to deal with it all and I don't blame her but it will also bring in some money in when she has to do the estate sale and she knows how to do those. On the other hand, selling some of it now means more in my pocket :D to try and put what I am calling my last car together. It's about time since I've had the dang thing for 27 years! Man, I got to hand it to ya. I've never had to deal with any kind of cancer (except for some skin crap) but have been around several who have. Not sure I could deal with it without staying drunk most of the time. Used to do that a lot but not anymore. Hang with this and give it hell!

I got it....either I read it or dreamed it lol. When in jr high I read everything that was in the library that had anything to do with cars and then some. Cars were my escape from all the jocks and crocks that were in the red neck school I attended back then. It's amazing what's available to read nowadays!
