Medical update on Bladecutter

Pain-killers suck. I like my mind as clear as possible.....even if it means enduring some extra pain. Make no mistake, after every major surgery I've had....I had some pain-killers[oxy]. But, I quit taking them asap. You got this, my good man....
Yeah, i have a 90 count bottle of 325 mg. Only took 4.

I've two cancer operations & I also quit the pain killers as fast as I could. A few days at most. Then back to the plain Tylenol.

I go in this am for an ultra-sound on my inguinal hernia. So nice to finally address that issue as the rupture occured in 1999. So i have survived my second week of chemo much better than the first, maintaining an appetite, picking weight up again. The first five days though were a sweat encrusted job....delirious.....really sapped me.
I got the Flag, Certificate, Letter, 'Challenge' coins, F-22 Wings, Badges & Patches on Saturday, the day following Veterans Day, from super-bee_ski & Edwards AFB....sweet timing.
An Incredible Honor by the efforts of not a few. It is a most Humbling thing, & i will Cherish always. **super-bee_ski** is the
Man!!

I'm not getting hair loss yet. No sores in mouth either. I'll be quite happy to pass those by.

Hell man, I don't have cancer (that I know of) and I still lost my hair!!!! I have hair where I DO NOT want it and none where I DO want it! :soapbox::wtf:

Jimi,
It was "Laz" that flew the flag....
He said he climbed straight up to 25K...said it "had another mile or so" but he "leveled it off inverted"
Ha Ha!

Soo Bitchen!! In 98, my Brother picked up a Lear 24(DASH 8's). He firewalled it out of John Wayne, laid flat & pulled power so not to trigger third bell,,then got back on it into a 50+ degree climb & pegged rate of climb on 6500.....we made 41,000 ft in a little less than ten minutes. On the take off roll with moving start, my Pup DanaToo did a backwards somersault into the baggage area behind rear seats & was pinned to the bulkhead for a bit.
25,000 ft. vertical climb......soo much Horse Power!

Hang in there Jimi! The steps to fight cancer are tough, but I know you will fight with all you have. I honestly wish I could step in and take some of this off of you. Keep a positive attitude because that is one thing cancer cannot stand!!!!

Follow their advice, but always listen to others. Listening is free.

Oh....And you got this!!

Good post Bart K!
A positive attitude and NO STRESS!

OK.....the ultrasound for the hernia didnt happen because of poor communication between PCP & lab.
Because my white count was low on my last bloodwork past Tuesday, im getting shots, yesterday, today & tomorrow. The Oncology place is shut down for weekend, but taking in others getting special shots on the off days. What impressed me was that today(& tomorrow) is that it was the Doctor Himself administering the shots,,,,as opposed to relegating the duty to staff. Gives me a Good Feeling about Him.
So the first 3 week cycle of chemo is over. This coming week is off, then the next cycle starts the following week. 1st week, double doses two days in row, then 1 day, one dose for the following two weeks, then a week off. There are 4 cycles to complete altogether.
That was the week that was.

I'm glad to hear that the first part is over. I hope it isn't making you feel too nauseous. Hang in there Jim!

Glad to hear things are progressing, and liking the people working with you, is key. Keep on, keeping on.........
