He was my best buddy for 14 years even though he belonged to my daughter and granddaughter. We did a lot of camping together. 2 weeks ago he had a urinary tract infection. We got him some meds. He got better for a few days then started going down hill fast. The vet here didn’t have time to see him again so I took him to another vet on Christmas Eve. There was very bad news as he had a growth in his bladder and a spot on his spleen. He wasn’t in any pain but was getting weak and tired. We made the very tough decision to say good by to Simon. We all had a good cry. It was one of the worst days of my our lives. Rest in peace Simon.

Sorry for your loss Kim....not a very happy week at all for you and the family.

That is so sad. They always take a piece of your heart when they go. Time will heal the sorrow but you never forget. But you did the best thing so he wouldn't suffer
Bless you

Find some comfort in how great you made his life for 14 years, Kim. Condolences to you and your family.

Sorry Kim, 14 was a good long run for your buddy. You did what you had to do.
He is in a better place.

Oh man....I know the feeling all too well. Sorry for your loss and yes, they leave us too soon.

So sorry for your loss, Kim.
I know the feeling. I cried like a baby when I had to put my Mopar down.
They just don't live long enough, but you did the right thing by him, and you had a good run together.
Deal with the loss for a while, and then rescue another that needs a 14 year home.......

RIP. I'm glad he was loved. Many people out there don't get it. Makes you wonder how they are with their own 2 legged variety.

RIP Simon, Dogs are so loving and forgiving. Wish they lived longer. Sorry for your familys loss Kim. And once again a members loss has brought tears to my eyes. :praying:
