I spend a lot of time at swaps (as do we all) and was always amused at those guys who wear pictures of their parts on their backs and stroll around. It just kinda always struck me as funny that they were too cheap to rent a space like everyone else.
Last weekend I was hiking around the local meet and there was a guy walking in front of me with the ever present picture on his back and it seemed as though the parts looked vaguely familiar. So I sped up and started asking him about his parts and he told me that he had a lot more than what was on his back … this is what I found …
New gas tank, filler pipe and straps ...
Pristine fenders with all the trimmings ...
A complete drivers door with glass, wing window and adjustable mirror ...
He also has a complete rust free cowl but I could not get close enough to as there was an old gas tank full of Africanized bees right next to it. He told me if I come pick it up it's mine ... once those bees are gone of course.
I paid $350 for all of this beautiful rust free sheet metal.
I love guys who have pictures on their back!
