For thoughs who used Eastwood Platinium. Anyone use acetone or vinegar for metal prep./degreaser or did you use what is recommended by Eastwood?

a little vague , engine block or are you prepping for paint

Whatever you're prepping, my recommendation is to use a wax and grease remover. I use Prep-All. If you're prepping plastic like a bumper, I also use an anti static prep.

with paint there's no shortcuts if you want longevity

I like to use lacquer thinner first to get off the obvious problems, then wax and grease remover last. Try the local paint store for quality paint supplies.

Eastwood is generally overpriced for mediocre quality.

I haven't used Eastwood Platinium, but I have used tons of there products and have found that

Eastwood is generally decently priced for good/great quality.
