Were those a factory option? Man they really ruin the lines of the car.
If they were an option what was the actual name of them? Side belt molding?

Body side moldings would be the name.

'Fugly' would be the nickname. My '05 Magnum had them removed, and someday I plan to remove them from my Grand National...but alas, they aren't simply stuck on with adhesive...fortunately with the GN, the moldings are only between the front & rear wheels. I just hate 'em because every time I wash the car, my microfiber rag gets caught in them.

In the fifties was price right. With a deposit in hand I see no real big deal for someone to inspect it. Although you personnally inspecting it would be the way to go. He may have felt threatened with the possibility that you'd back out

I remember when I sold my 69 rt ,guy came and handed me cash. Then seen my face and told me I didnt have to sell it. It was nice of him to say that to me. Maybe the guy had second thoughts and decided to keep it. If that was the case he should of told you.
