I know a few AF folks that couldn't hit the broadside of a barn at 2', myself excluded.
Q. Why does the Navy have Marines aboard their ships?
A. So they have someone to dance with on Saturday night!

I have nothing against our new member lance...
It is what it is,
I support ALL of you guys who served in our US Military.
Thank our VETS!

Thank you lance for protecting our Country.
I have heard that some of those AF guys are pretty cool!

1. Hikin Mike (Castle AFB, near Yosemite, a long closed base that was once Heaven for a dumb young New Englander kid .
2. 69A100 (Not his real name, Travis AFB baby! Boomers have the BEST View in the house)
3. hemi71x (USAF and a fellow Hemi "B-body" owner)
4. cr8crsh (Not his real name...tee-hee-hee, Travis AFB, the Elvis of the skies)

It is what it is,

Thanks man! Honestly...I'm just hating on the AF a little...you guys got all the hot chicks....lived in 'dorms' and even had people to take away your dirty dishes at the chow hall.

I grew up near Pittsburgh, PA and when I heard I was going to be stationed in California, the first thing I thought....palm trees, beaches and women. Boy was I wrong about the first two. I did manage to find a keeper and going on 27 years.

stayed away from this thread ,but thought I would chime I dont give a **** what branch they all served above and beyond so did the Coast Guard and the Merchant Marines ,thanks to all job well done , a lot have given the greatest their lives for us thank you all :usflag::welcome:

Ok a little(?) story. Volunteered for a bullseye pistol match a year after 9/11. This is a big regional match just before the Nat’l Matches at Camp Perry. 2 teams each from Marines&Army. That year the Coasties showed up , along with a chopper doing a flyby. Boy, you should have seen the “crap” flying back and forth between the “old” pistol teams & the new “Coasties”! I was in my element because I got to talk with’ Gunny’ Zinn who won like 10 or so Nat’l titles in pistol & grew up about 20mi.away.

So cool!
Ah, yes...Camp Perry
Been there!
Famous place
The "ONLY" place our Snipers have their Barrels made

PS: A "Bud" I work with daily was a Marine Sniper
Yup, he's 55 now
He bought my Sniper rifle from me a couple of years ago.

PS: yeah!
After IX XI the Coasties got a HUGE influx of money
They always have something to prove...
PS: Our "Oldest" Branch for sure!

have a friend that is a USAF PJ or Pararescueman

USAF active 71-74, weapons loader stationed at Camp NewAmsterdam , Holland
USAFReserve 75-2000 C-141 Loadmaster, 710 MAS Travis AFB
I hauled members of every branch and some I still can’t mention. I have nothing but respect for every one of them. We joked the hell out of them and we took it right back. Just tension relief in a VERY tense environment.
