Mini tub back seat

That 505 will be on the large side for that pair of s366's but cost wise, it's the same. Adding stroke to a turbo combo just reduces crank strength with less journal overlap and builds even more low end torque making it harder to hook up so keep that in mind. I would probably do a stock forged crank 383 with a set of H-beams and forged pistons. We've even used Big block chevy pistons and put small valve reliefs where we needed them. That'd be a cheap combo and would easily live with those turbos.

I do have a decent budget so doing something a little over the top wouldn't be out of the question. Changing from a 440 to 400/383 wouldn't be out of the question either, they are cheap and can be had on Craigslist for peanuts. I want to use stock block because the jump after that is excessive but I do want to be pushing the limits/my luck of what it can handle. I am open eared and do appreciate any and all advice.

I run a 295 under my 69 roadrunner with just a rolled lip. I threw on some cal tracs bars to help with hop and with the preload it keeps the tires from rubbing.

Thanks guys, I will be running caltracs or a 4 link.

So I spoke with the engine builder/machinist I've been using and he pretty much told me to drop all other ideas other than the modern hemi with efi. He said that with the electronics required for the blow thru that the EFI setup wont be a whole lot more especially when starting with a fuel injected motor from the get go.

There is a complete 6.1 on CL that I am going to go check out, there also is a 2015 5.7 with hardly any miles.

Electronics for a blow through carb???? We run a 1600hp blow through procharched SBF with no electonics besides the ignition.

I missed that... confused about it too... blow thru, precise ignition, return style regulator and a good high volume pump

Does he just mean electronics for monitoring as you mentioned in your PM?

Ah, the data logger. If you buy the right EFI unit, it has the datalogger built in. I'm going to be running the Holley Dominator EFI.

There won't be a problem with the seat - just some minor alterations to the lower corners, as was mentioned. My 69 belvedere was mini tubbed and 4 linked by a previous owner and my 3 kids fit in there just fine. The guy who did mine did a decent job, but he did get a little more 'creative' with the wheel wells than I would have liked. :) good news is I can fit probably damn near a 15" x 33" tire in there if I felt like it.

Here's a link that I posted a few years ago when I first bought the car. Car is parked for a motor transplant, tonight I'll pull the back seat and post some pix of the seat.

He wouldn't be buying aftermarket EFI hemirunner. He'd be running the factory hemi EFI so no data logging benefit.

Thinking more ETG and AF ratio if I understand correctly. Which you could still accomplish with aftermarket guages and sensors with blowthru

The guy did say I would be better off possibly running a Holley hp or a megasquirt but the stock ecu would do with it flashed. Either way there is a guy on CL selling a 2015 hemi with 1200km locally for 3k complete, seems to be a good price for a practically new motor.

Merry Christmas guys, thanks for the help. There will be a lot more dumb questions coming..... I promise!

Sorry I didn't come through with the pix yet, my wife 'reminded me' it was Christmas Eve. This weekend I'll have them for ya. Merry Christmas.

Unlikely but we will see, probably will be looking for a magnum before too long.

Now that I'm looking at it again, I'm not sure any mods are required at all. The previous owner went a little bit hog wild reshaping the front of the wheel house, and still there is plenty of room. One thing I always wondered though, is if he moved the rear seat bottom forward a bit?
