A friend has a full (header back) 2" dual exhaust system that he removed from his 1970 Challenger (318 auto) as he's swapping in a built 440 and going with a bigger exhaust. His old system is only 3 years old and in great shape... and cheap. My '73 Satellite Sebring Plus (400 auto) is still wearing its original single exhaust (it's a 2bbl car) and the pipe is rusty and is leaking badly....
I know the E-bodies are fairly similar underneath to the 71-up B-bodies (with a wheelbase difference, of course) so I'm wondering if I could make his exhaust work by adding a section or two to make up the wheelbase difference (as well as a couple of down-tubes from my factory exhaust manifolds).
Thoughts?
