It gets you thinking, not that long ago we were kicking the crap outta eachother yet here are a bunch of Germans, enjoying their US muscle cars, sinking beers, cranking up the BBQ and generally having a good time.....no different than anyone else.

I was in Germany in 2008 to attend a ceremony to remember the crew of a Royal Australian Air Force Halifax bomber which came down near Augsburg just a mile or two from the little village of Ortlfingen and it was pissing rain, the fields were a muddy bog and after all, it was an aircraft that had been dropping thousands of pounds of high explosive all over Germany so we didn't expect too many locals to make an appearance, well were'nt we in for a surprise, over a hundred Germans came and we had a great time. Beers down at the town hall were going down fast, the wives had baked cakes and they welcomed us with open arms.

I made many good freinds that day and count Germany and it's people as among the nicest that I've ever had the good fortune to encounter!

It's actually a better turn out than many shows I've been to locally!

And it's nice to see the blue '70 GTX in it's new home. (It belonged to a friend of mine and I sold it for him just before he passed away). Allan is smiling down upon Germany.

I lived there 2 1/2 years and never once saw a Mopar - of course that was back when they were still new cars over here
