My father-in-law did the engine work (and other stuff too like the rear). It is a super cool car that I would love to have!

Yesh, he and his partner Bruce Shaw were co-owners of Shaw's Speed Shops. Bruce ran the store front and my father-in-law ran the machine shop. If you look at the pictures you can see the Shaw's Speed Shop logo. Another famous drag racer that he did extensive work for was Ken Montgomery with the 555. Here are a couple of pictures:

In this picture the logo is fuzzy but is behind the rear wheel in gold and red.
