We got home last evening after attending the "Mopars at the battleship park" show held Saturday in Mobile Alabama.

The Coronet made the trip in fine style, (about 600 miles RT), the weather was perfect. The top stayed down the entire trip. There were some really nice Mopars ranging from originals, restored, restro mods and race cars. A small swap meet and lots of great mopar folks.

Been at the battleship park before....Good stuff! Do they still have the SR-71 Blackbird, along with the power cart containing 2 Buick 455's used to start it up? Those cars are great, but that ship is awesome!!!! USS Alabama could really deal out some serious hell back in the day.

Nice lookers for sure, Sweet sunshine looks good, think thats what they still call it.

I would give my right arse cheek to see one of those old Battleships...and with a park full of Mopars there I might even hand over the pair!

It's a great park. You can go on board and wander all over the USS Alabama. Sometimes takes awile to figure out how to get back to where you were.... And if thats not enough...theres a WW11 submarine you can tour through... Plus a big mess of military aircraft and ground vehicles. Easy place to spend a day even when there is no car show.

Went there last year . Stopped by Alexander City to go through the Wellborn museum . AWESOME tour by the way . Definitely going back when gas prices go down . Mobile bay is OUTSTANDING and so are the people ! Nice pics by the way .

The ship and my favorite, WW1 Sub, love to see the inside of that! AND of course the cars. Thats got to be neat as heck.

There was about twenty , twenty five planes from the WWII , Korean , and Viet -nam era thre too . And , of course the USS Drum WWII submarine . But the USS 'bama is one great old girl . I was floating around with the Mighty Mo , Iowa , and once with the Jersey , back in the eighty's , but forgot how big they were . The old lady was just dumbfounded when we first got a look at the 'bama !!! What a rush !!!!!!

Ive got a pic of the N jersey shooting all guns off at night durring on of the many US wars weve had. I was surprised at the amount of sideways push that had on a ship that heavy, maybe up to 500 ft to the side when all guns went off. Wish I had all those casings to take to the scrap yard, Id be rich. But they are laying at the bottom now.
