Stuart... I went thru this in 92 and it is a tough road but you will start to feel better. For a while you will do exactly as the docs want, but as you feel better it will start to wear off and you will do things against the doc's wishes. When I first had my heart attack,I was scared,as you probably are but as time went on I forgot all of that. Went back to old habits and did all the wrong things. Where did that get me, more trouble, more blocked arteries and the same old stuff. Don't do what I did...FOLLOW THE DOCTORS ORDERS. I still don't listen 100% but do better. I am now diabetic which makes it even harder. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. Good luck and by all means DO THE RIGHT THINGS.

still feel weak off an on . hopefully I can build up some strength and start walking more like the doctor wants . Suppost to walk a 1/2 hour every day but not anywhere near that yet .

Will be thinking of ya! Get better soon... Susan and Ron.

I thought maybe a mention would be good.. be careful with your feet being a diabetic. i have a hole in one toe that ive managed not to loose yet, but really have to be careful in everything, ive heard of it but until it happened to me i just didn't pay much mind to it. You may already know this but not to mention it and then someone saying if id of known, i would have much more careful wouldn't be good and there are some that just think that being one, all you do is take the pills or shots and go about life like it always was, which to me id rather someone tell me off for saying something they already know, then not say anything and it happens.

Sorry to hear about the staurt.Take care and be easy on yourself.take her easy for awhile.

both my big toes the toe nails have turned black in the last month ????

You really should go get that checked, mine do that also and most of the time goes away.. If you have ? I cant spell it neropria, its where your feet are numb, never ending and they burn like there on fire, hard to walk as you cant feel your feet and yet they hurt like hell is the only way to put it.. the nerves are damaged and it does not go away.. You could have a couple in grown toe nails that could do it and you not even know it. Don't get all excited but yes go and have it checked by all means.. They have stuff out now thats unreal to help with all this, your feet should be checked every day if your diabetic, teeth that are bad can make it worse, don't know why but that is what they tell me, im going today to the dentist, i hate going, but i have to.. If your diabetic and where tight shoes it could do that. just don't get all excited, if you seen my feet they would scare the heck right out of ya. lol..

Ron73 is right. Don't just go to your family doctor, go to a Podiatrist. You need to go at least twice a year and let them cut your toenails. They tell me not to cut my own so I have them do it every 3 months. Good luck...let us know how it goes with the fooot doctor.

moparstuart Had to tell you,, i went to that dentist today, i was told only 2 teeth savable and i about flipped. Now hes referring me to a oral surgeon because he cant pull them, down in the roots of the teeth there twisted like barbs or something he showed me on the x-rays, so they have to cut everyone out and fit me with dentures. Wonderful day, then we come home and a tornado goes thru ( im grateful i seen it coming ) tearing up a bunch of stuff, just 1/2 mile or so south of me it took the 3ft in diameter culvert pipes out of the middle of his long driveway and thru them not quite to my place the guy a mile behind me on the other side of the woods, next road over, lost his entire roof, there so much more its crazy, As im sure your well aware of.. Some-days we should just stay in bed huh? lol I have to laugh, keeps me sane, please let us know how it works out with your feet i didn't remember what the name of the foot doctor is called, i just call him the foot doctor.. If your diabetic you really do need to be careful with feet, and the teeth im told. Gods speed getting well. :angel9:
