I am very seriously looking at a 69 GTX. I will be full of questions.

When an automatic trans car came with a Dana, was 4.10 the only available option ?

Someone has taken away the chrome molding at the bottom. I know the molding is available, but my question is, when you paint the bottom black like factory, how far up does it go and where do you mount the molding ? I'm sure someone has measurements.

Without the buildsheet, is there any way to know which wheel combo it came with ?

Thanks a bunch

PS: anyone have any pics of a B5 blue 69 GTX, with the steel wheels like came from the factory ? All the ones I see have Magnum 500's on them.

Go check out my build thread here it will answer almost all questions you have. It is at the top of the page in the restoration section....

Without a build sheet who knows what wheels it had.

Also, the majority of 69 X's came with the longitudinal stripe that goes beneath the trim on top of the organisol black. Few cars had the v68(longitudinal stripe delete) which mine did....

That code is on the FT, BS, window sticker....

Btw of you have a window sticker it lists the wheel/tire choice on that

Welcome! Justin am I correct in that the 2 stripe colors were red & white for below the trim?

No idea on the exact measurements ? Also, no ideas on gear ratios available in the Dana from the factory ?

I think 3:73 and maybe 3:54 on Dana gears.
I could measure mine I guess to get you a idea of where the holes go.
If you would look through Justin's thread it would give you a good reference.

I do not have measurements.....through my research I have yet to find an engineering diagram from Chrysler showing the layout and I have asked everyone....

I have everything detailed in my thread....

As far as the gear ratio goes, who cares? I would rather have a 3.54 and no OE judge on the planet is going to jack your car up and check for proper ratio...

In the other thread you started on this 69corentrt stated exactly what was available for an auto with Dana in 69. He btw is the most knowledgeable person around when it comes to codes and numbers...

In 69 behind an auto the Dana was only available with 4.10 gears.

I appreciate all the info and replies. I have looked for the thread that y'all keep referring to and I can't seem to locate it. I guess I'm showing my lack of intelligence again.

Far as I know, gear ratios were 3.54 or 4.10 with the Dana.. Track Pak (3.54) OR Super Trak Pak (4.10)
