I have been in some seriously fun cars, BUT 2 come to the top of my list,
First on the list is a friend of mines Backdraft racing tube framed, 750 hp stroked chevy small block powered, shelby cobra "recreation". The car is amazing, honestly every shelby kit I have driven was awesome, BUT his is just lef tof insane, best of everything, it a race car, like nothing ever made in the US...

Next was today, A gentleman came to look at a corvette my buddy is selling, he pulled up in a LS7 powered Pontiac Fiero!!! The frame, suspension, brakes, interior, exterior, etc was all redone to race quality. Dynoe'd with 650hp, he took me around the block, that thing is a rocket ship....

Anyway, whats the most fun you ever had in a car with your clothes on?

I had a 64 barracuda with a 273/4 speed and beat the hell out of the car and it never quit....tied with that is my current 67 R/T(see avatar at left) that has a 472 hemi in it...I don't beat the hell out of it...but it is a blast to drive....hate to put it away for the winter....Both great cars

As a kid, got to ride in a SS/A Barracuda & the former 72 P/S California Flash Duster. Neighbor had some neat cars.

Without question the big block '71 4speed Charger. Hands down!! The figure eights I did on really narrow roads and top speed I did with the 3.23:1 gears.... Man oh man.

For now (until I'm finshed my Mopar builds) 2975 lbs 495HP 4spd

1980 pulling up to the starting line for the 1st time at Inyokern drags!

2nd: driving my buddies '69 Camaro...originally a /6 swapped to a 396 with a 4spd. Middle of summer in the desert town of Ridgecrest, CA. Even on a hot, dry day, it was like driving on a rain-slicked road whenever I dumped the clutch! Ended up sideways on China Lake Blvd twice that afternoon! I remember my legs shaking after the 1st one. Ha-ha!

My old 89' Dodge w150 is up there. I beat the hell out of that even tried jumping a ditch in it lol. tore up our fields on the farm whenever it rained but Probably my favorite was my dads 99' Mustang GT nitrous car. That thing hooked so hard and handled so nice. It was amazing. He sold it 2 years ago to an 80 year old guy...

My old 23 altered with any of the engine combos from a 301ci FI or a Blown Inj. SBC
to a FI BBC or Blown BBC or Blown Milodon Hemi
or my old 49 Ford Pro-Gas with any of the same types of engines...

For a stock street car my Grandmothers new 928 Porsche,
way back when on the river road between Antioch & Sacramento Ca....

Riding in my Uncles 68 `cuda when I was about 9-10 years old,
him smoking the tires all over Albany/Berkeley Ca., while he was home on leave from V.N.
It's probably a big part of what got me hooked on Mopars, among others...

LOL
I'm 45 miles south of China Lake
Gee Dako, where you in the Navy stationed there?
Yup, 110 degrees in China Lake

My Dad's Opel Gt. When I was a Teenager. We rebuilt that car. I got to drive that car alot my first 4 speed car I ever drove My dad had 5 of them from the time I was a toddler until I was in my late Teen's I remember my Dad's 74 Corvette from when I was very little.

My 1977 Chrysler Cordoba......'71 440 w/67 closed chamber heads, 292/509 purple cam & 2.76 8-3/4" from a '75 Charger..... a complete dog off the line, but top speed was something over 150mph (police speedometer only went to 150 and it was pegged). Not the most aerodynamic car at that speed.... would drift 1/2-lane if I hit a pebble in the road.

Most memorable ride? Easy......1978, and about a 5 mile ride in a real SC427 Cobra. Blue/white, chrome sidepipes and rollbar, MOON intake with 4 Webers. It actually caught fire, and was really hurt. Long story, but another guy was coming from outta-town to pick it up the following day.

For those who have read all the legend type stuff about the real Cobras..... I can tell you it's true. It was the most brutal ride I've had in a car. The acceleration and braking were not to be believed. Just at cruising speed, the car felt evil.

'64 Dodge Polara 500 , black on black, chrome, chrome, and more chrome. Cragar SS all the way around. A real head turner even back then (1970's) Built 383, mid to low 13's all day. What a grin that car was.

A 73 Duster I had as a 17 year old back in high school. It had a built up 340 with a B&M click shift auto on the floor and 4.10's. Nothing could touch it in the nearby surrounding areas. It still gets talked about 30 years later when I run into people from back then. The local police finally forced me to sell the car after giving them the slip one to many times. Oh how I wish I had that one back lol.
And recently a friend let me take his new Hellcat for a ride. Probably myself and most of my friends would have been seriously hurt or worse if we would have had those things as 16-18 year olds.

From way back in the day: a buddy's 65 fastback Barracuda, with a straight-axle and a worked 440 6 barrel up front. Still have nightmares.

My '62 Dart. And not just because it's for sale but because I built it and it hauls ***!

1968 AMX 390 w/ 4 speed or my 2003 Mustang Cobra KB2.6H blower 615RWHP and 587RWTQ thats at 70deg intake temp. Took it out a couple times when it was around 40deg. Pushing well over 700rwhp. It was still burning through the clutch till I got into 5 gear. LOL.
