Most wasted Mopars

Relax Barelad, no harm intended.
By the way, which one of these was your car?
lol runner 68, mines not on here but how would you feel if you worked so hard on your car to make it your car and then you come to this site and see people making fun of it. that would really suck dont you think. im just saying

- - - Updated - - -

and i'm not trying to start an argument or upset anyone i'm just saying these cars belong to someone who put there time and money into it like we did to are cars.

Nobody here has the authority to tell anyone else what they can or can't build. Opinions on what looks good vary greatly, but usually bad taste is glaringly obvious. Sometimes it takes a whole boatload of money to build a beautiful piece of ****, sometimes it just takes a shopping trip down the chrome plated cobra-head shift knob aisle at the local Auto Parts Mega Mart (stopping to drop quarters into the vending machine for some flame stickers on the way out). If we can't make fun of people's cars (a tradition as old as cars themselves, and only slightly younger than giving someone the finger), then what's left? Religion? Race? Sexual Orientation? Just not making fun of people at all? Frankly, I'm a little tired of the thin-skinned castrati revolution.

No worries. I'm a relatively secure old man. I would just tell them to kiss my @ss.

Of course we can make fun of other people's cars. Just take a look at this POS.

Trust me when if say if I ever had the misfortune to encounter this mess of a B Body on the street with it's owner, I would by him a steak dinner, several drinks, and politely ask him what the hell was he thinking. That's the point of this thread.

Help me figure out where this picture came from barelad.

What this critter DESPERATELY needs is some chromed (with anodized blue tips, of course) caliopi (calliopee? kaliopie? kuh-LIE-o-pee. Freakin Hillborn injectors!) sticking out of the hood on both sides of the scoop. BTW, that dated 2-tone blue panel job is probably old enough to be considered vintage, but the gasser look is best left to the pre-62 cars. As always, just my opinion, its worth exactly what ya paid for it.

And Barelad, just to be clear, I was not calling you out or calling you thin-skinned. I don't even know you, brother, but even with what I said I still see your point. I've owned, and still own, several B- and C-list "undesirable" cars and have developed my own defenses against the slings and arrows of the upper echelons of the old car glitterati snobs. I build my junk the way I like it as many people do. I think that's the core of this hobby. Although I also believe we can thank the bucks-up purists for the availability and (relative) affordability of many resto and custom parts for they are comparable to the "early adopters" that buy home PCs when they're $5000 or flat screen TVs when they're $10,000 thereby bringing the prices down for the rest of us later on as the technology develops. But some of these cars pictured in this thread, uh....damn.

Say it ain't so Super77! You crushed your Charger?! What happened? You just put all that work into it...

In my twisted mind, the gasser is cool. Why? Because, have you seen that many gasser Road Runners? Would I build it? Hell no. And, its got to handle as well as a deuce and a half.

I'll bet it doesn't even handle that well. That thing looks down right scary to drive.

A 1963 Fury Gas Bubble.........

View attachment 153493

In 1963 i was 15 and I admit I liked the "gasser look" of that time period. I still like it on some cars. Not to thrilled with the bubble roof.

then there's this one

I must be one of those F_n rednecks because in 1863 I would have really liked this car. But it needs a bunch of stacks coming out through the hood and fender well headers.

Ok, I reckon I am a redneck because I always liked this model Mopar and I like it just the way it appears in your photo. I am sorry it is gone.

Is it yours TH?

My pride and joy but contrary to what you may think there is no additional hair height interior volume gained by running it this way. It is easier to get the hair in and under the roof line w/o scuffing my look though
