Motor Differences

Can someone tell me the differences between a 440 and a 500 wedge crate motor? I've been told that the 500 wedge crate motor is just a modified 440, but was provided no specifics.

It's a bored and stroked 440. Bore: 4.380" Stroke: 4.150"
