So excited...my engine is rebuilt...picking it up tuesday morning and hopefully all goes well by days end tuesday-she should be pounding the pavement again!!:blob1:

basically rebuilt only what it needed, exhaust valves on the heads needed to be replaced, the crank, connecting rods, and heads were fine. Changed the 509 cam out for a more street friendly(will get specs). While the motor was out, I took advantage and picked up a 2400 torque converter and will unload the 3500 stall that was in her.

so...we started at 12pm today...just finished about 20 minutes ago. Still have to change the oil 2nd time tomorrow am, add more break in lube and run her for about 300 miles...carb still needs some tuning, the distributor springs need replacement-losing timing going into gear..BUT..so exciting to have her running again!!!
